Children ages 3–5 may qualify for TEFA-funded Pre-K programs if they meet certain eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
A child may qualify if they are:
- Unable to speak or comprehend English
- Eligible for free or reduced-price lunch
- Experiencing homelessness
- The child of an active-duty U.S. military member
- The child of a military member injured or killed in the line of duty
- Currently in foster care
- The child of a Star of Texas Award recipient
- The child of a public school Pre-K classroom teacher
